1. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in classes, using our website, or participating in any program offered by My Martial Arts Academy ("School," "we," "us," or "our"), you ("Student," "Parent," or "Guardian") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Enrollment & Membership
- Enrollment is subject to availability and approval by the School.
- Accurate student information — including age, health conditions, and emergency contacts — must be provided at enrollment and kept current.
- Students agree to follow the School's code of conduct, which includes respect for instructors, fellow students, and school property at all times.
- The School reserves the right to suspend or terminate enrollment for violations of conduct, non-payment, or any behavior deemed harmful to the school community.
3. Tuition, Fees & Payment
- Tuition is due on the agreed billing date each month. Rates are set at enrollment and may be adjusted with 30 days written notice.
- Payments are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Accounts more than 10 days past due may be assessed a late fee. Repeated non-payment may result in suspension or termination of enrollment.
- Returned payments may be subject to a returned payment fee.
- Trial class fees, registration fees, and uniform costs are non-refundable.
4. Cancellation & Withdrawal
- Written notice of cancellation must be provided at least 30 days in advance of the next billing date.
- Verbal cancellations are not accepted. Notice must be submitted in writing to .
- Students on a contract term are bound by the terms of their individual contract agreement.
5. Assumption of Risk & Waiver of Liability
Martial arts training involves physical activity that carries an inherent risk of injury. By enrolling, you acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:
- Sprains, strains, bruises, and other physical injuries
- Injuries caused by contact with other students, equipment, or facilities
- Aggravation of pre-existing physical conditions
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you release, waive, and discharge My Martial Arts Academy, its owners, instructors, and staff from any and all claims, demands, or causes of action arising out of or related to any loss, damage, or injury — including death — that may be sustained during participation in any school program or on school premises.
6. Medical Authorization
In the event of an emergency, you authorize My Martial Arts Academy staff to seek immediate medical attention for your child if a parent or guardian cannot be reached. You agree to be responsible for all resulting medical expenses.
Please inform the School of any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations that may affect your child's participation.
7. Photo & Media Release
Unless you notify us in writing to the contrary, enrollment constitutes consent for My Martial Arts Academy to photograph or video record your child for school promotional materials, social media, and website content. Images will not be sold to third parties.
8. Communications Consent
By providing your phone number and/or email address, you consent to receive communications from My Martial Arts Academy related to your enrollment, school events, and promotional offers. You may opt out of marketing messages at any time by replying STOP to any text message or clicking Unsubscribe in any email.
9. Code of Conduct
Students and parents/guardians are expected to:
- Treat all students, instructors, and staff with respect and courtesy
- Arrive on time and in proper uniform
- Follow all safety rules and instructor directions
- Refrain from bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior
- Respect school property and equipment
Violation of the code of conduct may result in immediate suspension or permanent expulsion without refund.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website — including logos, text, images, and training materials — is the intellectual property of My Martial Arts Academy and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written consent.
11. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the state in which My Martial Arts Academy operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of the applicable jurisdiction.
12. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued enrollment or use of our services following notice of changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
